Year-End Membership Inventories
If you haven’t already been called, the Commissioner staff and professional staff will be calling each unit to check with them to make sure every youth who is attending your meetings is registered. Be prepared with a list of your current unit’s roster and let us know the names and we’ll compare it to what is registered.

Roundtable: Annual Auction & Dessert Contest
Yes, Nih-Ka-Ga-Hah there is a December Roundtable. This is our annual event that we have everyone bring a home-made dessert for our annual Dessert Contest, and bring items for us to auction off that will help benefit our District Roundtable funds for the coming year. So, get those baking pans warming up and clean out those garages of nick-nacks, camping gear, and scouting memorabilia to donate to our auction and of course come ready for Fellowship and Fun (plus bring cash or check book to buy those “must have” auction items in time for Christmas).

Annual Business Meeting
On Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the Granby LDS Church, we will have our Annual District Business Meeting. This is where we will elect our District Leadership for 2009. ALL Charter Organization Representatives and current District Committee Members are encourage to attend and vote on our leadership for the coming year, which will be leading up to the 100th Anniversary of Boy Scouting in America. Please encourage your Charter Organization Representatives to attend this meeting.

Re-Charter Party
This will be a chance for you to turn in your Recharter paperwork, fees, and your 2009 Centennial Unit Commitment sheet. The process will start at our December Roundtable when we will hand out your 2009 Recharter Kits and review over the on-line recharter process. You can go on-line any time after you get the paperwork and recharter your unit on-line, BUT REMEMBER you MUST printout the final roster, GET the Signatures of your Executive Officer and Unit Leader, and have a check to pay your fees to turn into a Council Scout Shop or on our Recharter Day on Saturday, January 17th at the AT&T Call Center, just down from the Joplin Scout Shop. AT&T has offered us the use of their training room, which has 20 computers, that if you need help in getting on-line and doing your recharter, you can do it there with the help of our commissioner staff. We will also have our District Committee at this meeting to review over how we can assist you in: Advancement, Activities, Camping, Training, Membership, Finances, and Centennial Unit Application. We will be at the AT&T Center from 9 am until Noon for you to turn in your paperwork or to get it printed out. We suggest you bring along a blank check, signed, in case there are any discrepancies in the fees due. We will have commissioners and volunteer staff to help you complete your recharter process on this day. Look for detail information in your Recharter Kit being handed out at the December Roundtable.
