Camp Swift

Well to start out, Swift was amazing! Everyone that went had a blast and wants to go back next year. Sunday we did our swim test in the very clear lake that they have there. The lake is shared with, I believe, four different Boy Scout camps.
Then Monday we went rock climbing, it was amazing. At swift, you don't have harnesses already made for you, you make them yourself. They show you a safe way to wrap the lashing around yourself and then do a water not. Then you actually get to go to rock climbing. They have three different actual rock cliffs you can climb. They all have names, the easiest one is names collar bone because someone a long time ago fell and broke his collar bone. The medium one is called Chimney because once you get to the top it can be like climbing up a chimney. In the group that I was in, I was the only one that got up it. I don't want to pride myself to much. Then the hardest one is called baby snake, I'm not quite sure why though.
Tuesday we had a free day meaning you got to sign up for something but you don't have to do it with your crew. You really don't have to sign up for anything at all. You could just sit at camp doing nothing at all. Pretty much the camp is only as fun as you make it.
Anyways, Wednesday we went rappelling down 70 ft cliffs. You get a huge adrenaline rush from it. On Thursday we went to all day ropes. The low ropes are like any other low rope course. It might have minor changes but its still fun. The high ropes were a lot of fun. At the end you get to angle rappel down back to ground. And then Friday you get to go to Huck's Cove. It is pretty much a big wooden water park. That was my favorite thing right after the rock climbing.
Every night after everything that has fun activities for you to do with the entire camp. It can go from a Halloween night to a trivia night. Also the schedule can change from crew to crew but they all get to do the same things if they want to. Also you get to go to stay the night at one of three places. I don't really remember all of them but I know that the one that we stayed at was the tree houses. They are really made in the trees. It is so cool. All of the camps can use them I believe.
The counselors are amazing to. They are all so nice and fun to be around and sense they are pretty close to our age you can get along with them super easily. You can go to them for anything. If they can’t answer your question then they will find someone who can. They are just all around amazing.
That is all about Swift that I can remember right now. I hope to see you all at Swift next year.
